Spherical Ti(C,N) particles with average size of below 100 nm have been synthesized via highenergy mechanical milling and subsequent carbothermal reduction–nitridation (CRN) reaction. Compared with lowenergy mechanical milling, highenergy mechanical milling lowers reaction temperature and reduces reaction time of nano anatase CRN.
